BOTOX® FOR MIGRAINES
If you suffer from chronic migraines with 15 or more headache days per month, therapeutic Botox® may be an option to help reduce the frequency and severity of headaches and improve your quality of life.
Dr. Brian Kim is one of the physicians in Calgary with specialized training in administering Botox® for chronic migraines.
HOW IT WORKS
Make an appointment with your family doctor or another qualified physician to be assessed and obtain a prescription for Botox®.
If you do not have a family doctor, you may book an assessment with Dr. Brian Kim, who can determine whether therapeutic Botox® is appropriate and provide a prescription if indicated.
Have your Botox® prescription filled at a pharmacy.
Book your injection appointment with Dr. Kim at Face Equation.
Bring your filled Botox® prescription with you to your appointment.
The physician injection fee is $150 and is not covered by Alberta Health Care.
BOTOX® FOR HYPERHIDROSIS
If you suffer from excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), Botox® may be an effective treatment option.
Having the treatment performed by a physician experienced in therapeutic Botox® can provide a cost-effective alternative to cosmetic injection services.
Alberta Health Care does not cover the physician's injection fee for hyperhidrosis. However, your Botox® medication may be obtained through a prescription from your physician, and you can have it administered by Dr. Kim for a $150 injection fee.
